For companies, the digitalization of operational processes often represents a previously unknown challenge. The implementation of each individual digitization use case is technically complex and also requires the cooperation of different departments (internal and external) in the form of a defined project. If elementary topics (e.g. target definition, technical solution/requirements, personnel capacities, control tools) are not given sufficient consideration at the start of the project, this inevitably leads to delays in implementation and the associated higher costs.

Accordingly, creating a common understanding of the requirements, setting up the project correctly and managing it in a results-driven manner are key success factors for staying on time and on budget during implementation.
