Do I need a background in engineering or manufacturing to apply?
We look forward to receiving your application, even if your studies or industry focus is not in the scientific or technical field. Although many of our consultants have pursued careers in these fields, we always appreciate learning about new perspectives and individual backgrounds. Your unique profile could be exactly what enriches and complements our team.
Do I need to have previous industry experience to apply?
We typically hire industry professionals with at least 5-10 years of experience; however, we consider candidates with less experience if they are a good fit for our team needs. We also offer summer internships for Undergraduate and Graduate professionals for those who are seeking to gain experience in the field.
How much travel can I expect?
Our consultants typically travel to our customers four to five days a week to work together on site.
What types of clients do you work with?
We work with manufacturing corporations and large medium-sized companies in the US, Europe and all over the world. We cover a wide range of industries, from pharmaceuticals and medical technology to mobility and large-scale shipbuilding projects. Discover all our industries here: Link to industries overview
How long does a typical project take?
A typical project starts with a scope of six to twelve weeks. As we provide strong support during implementation, the total duration of our projects usually is between six and nine months.
What size do the project teams have?
Our project teams usually consist of two to five colleagues who work together with several larger project teams from the customer.
What does internal development look like at TARGUS?
Every new consultant receives a mentor when they start at TARGUS. They will help you to get started, provide support with questions about day-to-day consulting and work with you to write your individual development plan. We value a steep learning curve and regular feedback. Your individual development plan is therefore evaluated at least twice a year.
In addition, we offer in-person training each month to dive into industry, internal, and current topics to continue learning and strengthen our client strategy.
